Who we are

Inkt (“Inkt,” “we,” “us”) provides software that lets producers and educators train a private AI assistant on their own teaching. This policy covers our marketing site and our product. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@inkt.ai.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you request early access or contact us, we collect your name, email address, an optional link to your work, and anything you write in a message.
• Content you add to the product. Material you upload to train your assistant is yours. We process it to provide the service; we do not read it for any other purpose, sell it, or use it to train models you don’t own.
• Usage data. With your consent, we collect basic analytics about how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type) to improve it.
• Cookies. We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working; analytics cookies run only if you accept them in our consent banner.

How we use your information

• To respond to you and provide early access and support.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the site and the product.
• To keep our service secure and prevent abuse.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private content to train shared models.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your consent (for analytics cookies and marketing contact), our legitimate interests (to run and improve the service), and the performance of a contract (to provide features you ask for). You can withdraw consent at any time.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run the business — for example hosting, email, and analytics — under agreements that limit them to our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and our service. We do not sell data to anyone.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, and we’ll do so unless we’re required to keep them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@inkt.ai and we’ll respond within the time the law allows. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe and to notify you if something goes wrong as the law requires.

International transfers

We may process information in countries other than your own. Where we do, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it.

Children

Inkt is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll post the new version here and update the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be highlighted.
